History of Singles Pleasing The Lord (SPL)

SPL was established in 2002 with a radio program on a local Christian station in Chicago, IL.  Since its inception it has also been on local and national television reaching potentially millions of single adult men and women addressing their issues with solid Biblical Truth.  Now that we are in our second decade of operation we continue to reach the single adult community with a powerful message of truth.  We have testimonies from single adults all over the world that have been and continue to be changed by the sound wisdom the ministry provides. 

The MIssion of SPL 

SPL is a faith-based non-profit organization.  The mission of SPL is to impact the lives of single adults at various life stages (single never married, dating and engaged, divorced, widowed and single parenting) by preparing them for successful single living.  Successful singles produce strong marriages and families that build and produce healthy communities. We believe the hallmarks of a successful single life are sexual and emotional purity, spirit, soul and body prosperity, purposeful productive living and being prepared for successful marriages.  The programming of SPL has been designed to produce this fruit.

The Leadership of SPL - Debbie and Pastor "J"  

Debbie and Pastor Julius Adebayo direct the Ministry of Singles Pleasing the Lord and the non-profit organization Saving People’s Lives.They believe that God has called them to serve in the Kingdom of God  as a married couple and they freely give of themselves to ensure the Kingdom of God is advanced on this earth and the name of Jesus Christ is glorified.  They minister with an emphasis on God’s people living holy lifestyles with Christ-like character.  They teach and counsel single and married adults preparing them to live successful single lives and experience biblically based, satan-proof marriages.

Throughout their ministry career they have hosted television and radio programs and authored books.  They are recognized speakers and their communication of Biblical truth is genuine, transparent, vibrant, and practical. God has opened doors for them to minister across the United States, in Africa and Europe.

Pastor “ J” and Debbie have been married 20 years and between them they have six adult children and 12 grandchildren. They have 3 great grandchildren.

Debbie has attended seminary and correspondence Bible school. She is also a Registered Nurse and has a Master’s degree in Business Administration.  Julius graduated from Bible School and was ordained in 2005. He founded and served as the senior pastor of Cornerstone Outreach Center for 7 years.  Before answering the call to the ministry Julius had an extremely successful career in Corporate America as a senior level management Industrial Engineer.  He holds a bachelor’s degree in Industrial Engineering, a Mechanical Engineering Degree from the Technical College in West Germany, and a Master of Occupational Education with concentrations in Industrial Technology.  He is also fluent in the German language and Yoruba his native language
