Going through a divorce is one of the most traumatic experiences anyone will face.  In order to navigate through it successfully you must receive healing.  Healing does not come from keeping busy, starting a new relationship or believing that time heals all wounds.  Healing can only come from God's Word and God's anointing.

 

Statistics reveal that many people never receive adequate healing because as high as 50% of first time marriages end in divorce, 62% of second time marriages end in divorce and over 70% of third time marriages end in divorce.

 

God hates divorce, but He loves all divorcees and is committed to making you whole and complete again.

 

Here are some scriptures the Holy Spirit can use to bring healing to you:

 

Jeremiah 17:4  O LORD, if you heal me, I will be truly healed; if you save me, I will be truly saved. My praises are for you alone!

 

Isaiah 61:7  Instead of shame and dishonor, you will enjoy a double share of honor. You will possess a double portion of prosperity in your land, and everlasting joy will be yours.

Psalms 147:3  He is the healer of the brokenhearted. He is the one who bandages their wounds.

 

Isaiah 43:18-19  Do not call to mind the former things, Or ponder things of the past. 19"Behold, I will do something new, Now it will spring forth; Will you not be aware of it? I will even make a roadway in the wilderness, Rivers in the desert.…

 

 

Prayer for a Divorced Single

 

Father,

 

We pray that this divorced single would receive healing.  That you deliver them from shame, failure, unforgiveness, bitterness and soul ties.  We pray that they would draw close to you in intimate fellowship and experience a new beginning.  If they have children we pray that the children would be healed, protected and provided for.
